Plate Crate Baseball Subscription Box

I recently came across Plate Crate while scrolling through the web and am so glad I did. I have been stumped on what to get my nephew for Christmas this year, and instantly knew this would be the perfect fit! If you have someone who is a lover of baseball/softball, you will now have to look no further for the perfect gift.

What is Plate Crate?

Plate Crate is a subscription box that ships straight to your door each month. Subscribing, starts at $40 each month, with a guarantee of over $50 in product. Shipping is always free and you can pause or cancel anytime.

A different box is always sent each month, so you will never get the same items. Every box contains 6-8 items including gear, training aids, snacks, apparel, and more.

What Are Some Items That Come In a Plate Crate?

Disclaimer: This product was sent to me for free for this review. Although, all opinions about these products are my own.

This month's Plate Crate theme was Web Gem. Everything included in this Plate Crate is intended to help you improve your fielding ability for next season! Break in that new glove, practice those short hops, and increase your speed and agility.

1.Speed Ladder

The product of the month is the Bandit Sports speed ladder. Use the ladder to increase your foot speed and coordination. Combine ladder drills with fielding drills to get in a great fielding workout! These drills will surely have you ready for next season!

2. Glove Mallet

This glove mallet is the perfect tool for breaking in and maintaining the pocket of your baseball/softball glove. The mallet allows you to stimulate playing pitch and catch, in order to break in your glove quickly.

4. Pancake Clove

Okay, I'm going to be a bit honest here. I had no idea what this was used for at first, so I had to do a little web searching.

When fielding a ball, you do not want to field a ground ball in the deep pocket of the glove. The deep pocket is used for catching a ball. The pancake glove is intended for the fielder to use more of the palm of their glove along with their top hand (throwing hand) in fielding. It also helps with the transfer of the ball from the glove to the throwing hand.

In fact, Franciso Lindor uses the pancake glove when training. Furthermore, this training glove helps players develop soft, quick hands, and a great technique when fielding balls.

5. Reaction Ball

When I received my Plate Crate box, my significant other decided to dig right in, and this was the first thing he went for! And yes, not going to lie, we enjoyed playing with this ourselves for a couple hours!

The reaction ball will help develop the hand eye coordination along with an individuals reaction time. It is a six sided high bounce rubber design that makes the ball leap and hop randomly, so you never know what direction you will be fielding the ball.

You can volley the reaction ball between players, or rebound it against a wall for independent training. It works against all hard surfaces or walls and can be used as a fun way to improve technique in drills and training exercises. Move fast, react quick!
