Maternity clothes. Something most of us hate to buy. Most of the time they do not fit right, are uncomfortable, or can be expensive. Or we may think why spend money on new clothes, when we are only going to wear them for a couple months? So instead I put together a list of my favorite hacks/tips in order to avoid buying maternity clothes or to at least stay in your regular clothes for as long as possible, throughout pregnancy.

1.Ponytail Trick

We will do anything to be able to stay in our regular jeans throughout our second and in to our third trimester. And this is the trick to do just that!

2. Belly Bands

When your belly starts to pop and your regular shirts just don't cut it anymore, throw on a belly band. No need to worry about showing your belly to everyone anymore! These bands also go hand-in-hand with the ponytail trick, as they aid in hiding those unbuttoned pants.

3. Bra Extenders

Instead of buying a million new bras while your ladies continue to grow, invest in some bra extenders instead. And save money by helping your bras last longer. Comes in different colors and sizes.

4. Denim Therapy

Have a pair of jeans that you just can't part with for those pregnant months? No problem, send them to Denim Therapy. For $60, they will work their magic by inserting expandable side inseams to move and grow right along with your growing bump. Once you are back to your pre-baby figure, Denim Therapy will restore your jeans back to their pre-baby form. You can spend money on a pair of maternity jeans, that typically do not fit right most of the time anyways. Or you can spend your money on your favorite denim that already makes you feel sexy and comfortable.

5. Instant Button Jeans Extender

The snap on buttons will give you an extra 1" space of your waist INSTANTLY. Simply tack it to your pants, cover it with your shirt or belly band and it stays comfortably for the day. Perfect fit for your denim jeans, ripped skinny jeans, and even maternity pants if you decide to purchase a pair.

6. Elastic Waist Extenders

Designed with 3 slots, you can instantly expand your pants’ waist between ½” and 2 ½”. These extenders also come with two different button sizes to fit a wide variety of pants. Although, I would recommend wearing a belly band over your waist line, in order to cover up that extra gap.

7. Wear Regular Clothes

There are tons of regular clothes that have a relaxed, flowy, or oversized fit that can easily accommodate a growing belly. I lived in leggings throughout my pregnancy. Long loose tops or cardigans, kimonos, and blazers are also great. Dresses are also a great option, especially those that have a high waist line or no waist line at all.

8. Low Cut Undies

The waistband on regular underwear may become very uncomfortable, So instead wear low cut undies such as thongs, g-stings, and bikini cut undies, in order to keep the elastic below the belly. LOVE these under the bump panties as well!
