Let's face it, you are most likely not worrying about postpartum right now, as you are most likely worrying about getting everything ready for the baby to arrive along with prepping for labor and delivery. I was the exact same way, I had bought one thing before hand, which was the Tucks pads and thank heavens I did. Although, if I could say one thing, I wish I would have been more prepared. As I found myself frantically ordering postpartum care essentials or running to the store all hours of the day!

No matter the type of birth you have you will be tired, sore, and most likely uncomfortable. So I think this post is essential for all moms. I want you to know how you can prepare for postpartum, just like you prepare for everything else. I came up with a list of all my favorite postpartum care essentials in order to make your recovery smoother. Because nobody wants a slow and painful recovery!

Make sure to share/pin with all of your fellow mamas!

1.Postpartum Underwear

The underwear you choose for after delivery is essential. You will want to make sure they handle your bleeding along with protecting your tender tummy or vagina.

2. Postpartum Pads

Think you can wear regular pads during postpartum recovery? Most likely not. Postpartum pads help absorb the heaviest bleeding. These pads are great as they are super puffy and comforting, making sure to protect your tender lady bits or stitches.

3. Bed Pad

Protect your sheets and mattress from any nasty stains or smells. Not only will you be bleeding, but leaking breasts and possible night sweats will be a thing too! Easily washable and dryable and the non-slip backing will keep it in place.

No harsh chemicals or fragrances, just natural, organic and pure ingredients so you never need to worry about what's going on your delicate skin. Use in a sitz bath over the toilet, in a shallow hip bath, or mix with water in a spray bottle for either portable cleansing, as a soothing spray for postpartum pads, or on-the-go pain relief.

If the perineum is too sore to withstand the weight of your body, use an over the toilet perineum soaking sitz bath instead.

Another lifesaver, and I would have to say one of my FAVORITE postpartum care products. This is going to be something you will want to take with you every time you go to the bathroom, because let me tell you it burns like no other. Biting down on the neck of your shirt type burning. Until you use this product, as it will provide you with the cooling sensation and instant relief you need. Honestly, I would get a couple of them. One for at home and one for your diaper bag, for when you are out and about.

Yes, you may get hemorrhoids from the pushing and in all honestly I would prepare like you are going to get them. Because let me tell you the pain and I can't forget about the itching, oh the itching, so freaking uncomfortable. I can't say enough good things about alleviate. It is ABSOLUTELY worth every last penny! This cream definitely works and works instantly.

C-SECTION BIRTHS

1.Scar Removal Cream

I have never had a c-section but there is no question about it that you will be left with a scar. I did some looking around and came across this cream that has great reviews and will help diminish the appearance of the scar. Seriously, go look at the pictures in the reviews and see for yourself how well this stuff works!

2. C-Section Belly Band

Speed up recovery from natural births or C-section after use this postpartum belly binder. This post pregnancy belly band helps shrink belly, waist and hips, prevents organs from sagging, minimizes stretch marks, and accelerates postnatal healing. Great for postpartum recovery. This postpartum girdle helps get your body back to its former post childbirth. This band also helps with the lower back pain and provides your core muscles with support.

3. Silicone Tape

Your c-section scar may become hypertrophic, which means it is thicker, wider, and raised. Although, silicone tape can help prevent this from happening. Silicone tape is also great for helping diminish the appearance of scars.
