The Advancement of Breastfeeding Products
As a breastfeeding mom, I get so excited talking about the advancement of breastfeeding products. Because for some of us mamas, without these products, breastfeeding would be a constant battle.
As I have been seeing all of these new products, I wanted to share with you the ones I have used and personally LOVE, along with the ones I plan on getting the next time around!

The Advancement of Breastfeeding Products
Lactation Supplements
Milk Dust
Y'all I have tried several breastfeeding supplements and this stuff is the real deal! You know those breastfeeding cravings that usually consist of brownies, cookies, candy, and anything that consists of sugar? Those sugar cravings are beat with this supplement, all while boosting your milk supply! A WIN-WIN for sure!
One of the common causes of lactation issues is due to poor nutrition. Milk Dust is not only a lactation supplement, but a nutrition supplement that boosts milk supply by properly nourishing your body. I mean who doesn't want to lose weight, all while keeping your milk supply up?
Milk Dust is Non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, corn-free and soy-free, which makes it easy on both mommy’s tummy and baby’s tummy. It is also the perfect ingredient to blend with a smoothie in order to make a yummy and nourishing meal/snack.
Milksta Mommy Brew
Sorry mama. No this mama brew is not packed with caffeine, when I know you need/want it. Although, if you prefer coffee over tea supplements, this is PERFECT for you!
Treat yourself mama! Because this milk boosting supplement is delicious and fixes your coffee cravings! Not only is it great hot, I love drinking it iced as well! I have already repurchased a couple times and will continue to do so, because it is that good!
Oh, and I can't forget to mention that is really does boost your milk supply as well! I went from pumping 4 ounces to 6-7 ounces! No wonder why this product has sold out several times!
Lactation Brownie Mix
We all know, as moms we have our sweet cravings, and what better way to naturally support a healthy supply of breast milk with these delicious brownies. And what makes it even better is that they only contain 150 calories per serving. They also contain oats, brewers yeast, and flaxseed, which are ingredients traditionally used for increasing breast milk supply.
The same company also has Oatmeal Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies, Oatmeal Chocolate Rainbow Candy Cookies, and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Fenugreek Lactation Support Drops
Fenugreek appears to be the herb that is most often used to increase milk supply. It has been reported to be an excellent galactagogue for some mothers, and has been used as such for centuries. If you are unfamiliar with the term galactagogue, galactogogue is a substance that promotes lactation in humans and other animals.
Liquid extracts are also shown to absorb 2X to 3X better compared to capsules. Most moms say, a couple days was all it took for them to start noticing a significant increase in milk production.
Breast Pumps + Gear
Portable Breast Pumps
How freaking amazing is this? A pump where you aren't stuck to a pump. That doesn't really make any sense haha, but I'm sure all you pumping mamas know what I mean. I guess I can put it as, a pump that you are able to freely move with. Cook while pumping, go on a walk while pumping, and the list goes on and on.
Forewarning, The Willow Pump is expensive. This one by Nuk is half the price as The Willow, although the reviews do not compare to The Willow. The Elvie is also a great option, although it is only a single breast pump. Although, it does have great reviews, and is half the price of The Willow. There are a couple more affordable options on Amazon as well, such as this one, or the Bellababy.
The Haakaa
I could sit here and go on and on and on, on why I love the Haakaa breast pump. I am telling you, this is one of the best breastfeeding investments you will ever make! The Haakaa is one piece, easy to use, portable, very affordable, easy to clean, hands free, and collects your let down while nursing (instead of letting that precious gold soak into your breast pad)!
I have an entire post on Why I Love The Haakaa Breast Pump, along with a post pertaining to Tips/Tricks For Using The Haakaa.
Kiinde Feeding System
The Kiinde Breast Milk Storage System allows you to collect, store, prepare, and feed using a single disposable breast milk storage bag. You won’t need to worry about contaminating your breast milk supply when you can use the same milk storage pouch to feed your baby. The system eliminates the risk of spills when transferring milk and provides the convenience of no dirty bottles to wash.
Adapters are included that fit every major pump brand, allowing you to pump directly into Twist Pouches. While most breast milk storage containers use flimsy zipper seals, Kiinde Twist Pouches use a sturdy twist top. They’re leak-proof, freezer-proof, and made with food grade materials. You can also store baby food in them as your child grows.
Breast Milk Savers
These breast shell, milk savers protect the nipple from friction and can help reduce engorgement as well. It also collects your breast milk, so no need to worry about getting your clothes wet. Use these instead of breast pads, to collect your milk instead of letting your milk soak into your breast pad, wasting it :(.
Breastfeeding Baby Bottles
The Nanobebe is an awesome bottle for breast fed babies, due to the fact this bottle is specifically made for breast fed babies. Baby instinctively connects to the Nanobebe's familiar shape which encourages a smooth transition from breast to bottle (and back). This bottle also has a high acceptance rate! It contains soft rounded edges around the base and nipple for maximum comfort and prevents nipple confusion. It is said to help with gas and colic as well!
Our other favorite breast fed baby bottles are the Comotomo, as they are ideal for breast fed babies. They are designed to most closely mimic breastfeeding to reduce bottle rejection and nipple confusion. Dual anti-colic vents prevent unwanted air-intake and reduce colic as well.
LaVie Lactation Massager
This handy little tool is great for relieving clogged milk ducts and mastitus, improving milk flow, and helping with engorgment.
The LaVie helps express breast milk and restore your flow. It also helps make emptying breasts easier, while also assisting in reduced supply, undersupply, and oversupply issues. Use the LaVie to aid in relieving pain caused by engorgement, plugged ducts, breast redness, tenderness, and other nursing ailments.
Add this massager into your breastfeeding care plan as a preventative tool for many breastfeeding or pumping symptoms and pains. I am telling you, you definitely won't be sorry if you do!
The LaVie Lactation Massage Roller also has the same concept and is cheaper! I have not tried the massage roller, so I can not say how well it works, but most of the reviewers recommend it!
Pumping Bra
If you are going to be using an electric pump, I highly recommend a hands free pumping bra. Without this you will have to hold the suction cups to your breasts, which is a complete pain in the butt. The first week of pumping, I did not have this bra and let’s just say it was uncomfortable and not fun. So I am extremely glad I ordered this bra so soon!
Breast Pump and Accessory Wipes
These wipes are so so CONVENIENT! If you pump at work these are great as you can just wipe your pump parts down, without having to wash a million parts. They are also a life saver during road trips, middle of the night, or times when you don’t have access to water. Not only are they great for pump parts, but you can also use them to wipe down changing tables, restaurant high chairs, and whatever you desire.
