Hey Hey Hey Mama!
And happy fall y’all!
Tis’ the best time of the year and we have officially reached the season for all things pumpkin spice!
I know, some of you are probably rolling your eyes, thinking not more pumpkin spice posts. But if you are anything like me, you are doing a happy dance. Pumpkin smoothies, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin bread, pumpkin bars, pumpkin hummus, you name it, I am for it!
So, since I am a lover of all things fall and the fall season, I was inspired to write this post! I mean, mamas, can there be anything better than a pumpkin spice lactation smoothie?
Pumpkin Spice lactation Smoothie
This pumpkin spice lactation smoothie contains a few galactagogues, so it will be sure to boost your breast milk production! If you are unaware of what galactagogues are, they are substances that naturally increase breast milk production.
As a breastfeeding mom, it is so important to nourish yourself with nutrient dense foods, as this will help fulfill both your and your baby’s needs. The higher the nutritional quality of the mom’s diet, the higher the nutritional quality of the milk!
Skip the high sugar content of the traditional smoothies and lattes made at Starbucks and instead celebrate the pumpkin spice season with a lactation smoothie instead!
This lactation smoothie is a blend of lactogenic ingredients and galactagogues (pumpkin, flax seed, coconut milk, ginger) which not only makes this smoothie nutrient dense, but it also promotes milk production!
